It was so much fun to have this family back in recently! This picture was taken from their session when their little girl was only about 16 months old. And now she's in school! This was one of their favorite pictures from that family photo shoot because it captured "them" as a family at that time. She was a total daddy's girl (she still is!) and she was a goofy baby who loved to make her dad laugh and be silly with her.

We routinely hear when a client calls to book their session that they only want the kids photographed. Or the kids with their dad. But mom, the person usually setting up the appointment, does not typically want to be in the pictures. I understand the reluctance. Maybe you want to lose weight, don't like your current hair style, or don't like seeing yourself in pictures. We've heard all the reasons! But the pictures aren't just for you. Your kids are going to want to see pictures of you (and you together with them) as they get older. It's easy to put off being in the pictures with "I'll do it next time." But time marches on and life only gets more busy! The next time you book a professional photography session, consider being in at least a few of the pictures. How time flies! TBT
The first picture (in the field of flowers) was taken exactly 1 year ago and the black & white picture taken in the studio was taken just recently. It's amazing to see the difference a year makes for both the girl and the dog! And it is so wonderful to be able to go back in time and have beautiful pictures of these two BFFs to document as they grow up together.
You will never be sad to have regular professional pictures taken of your family and pets! Time continues to fly by, but beautiful photographs will last forever.

A Girl and Her Horse - TBT
There are few things as beautiful as girl with her horse on a gorgeous afternoon in Colorado. The wildflowers were blooming and the light was golden. This horse property in Parker was the perfect location for an outdoor photo shoot and all the conditions were simply perfect. It also helps when you have a stunning model! Mark photographed multiple horses and various family members during this family portrait session and they ended up with so many wonderful images! They loved their pictures so much that they chose to display 18 canvases as collage to cover an entire wall in their living room. Their artwork displayed this way is simply stunning and they get to enjoy their images every single day.

While it's a beautiful fall for outdoor family pictures in Colorado, sometimes a studio photography session is still the best option for getting the photos you really want. We love creating classic and elegant black and white portraits of kids to capture their unique personalities. From September 19-21 , 2014 we’ll open up our photography studio in Denver for anyone who would like to have a custom photo session to create unique art with their family while helping the families served by the Colorado chapter of the NKF. Your donation of $75 or $150 earns you a session. 100% of all donations go directly to the National Kidney Foundation and your money stays right here in Colorado.
