Picking up your artwork
We love showing clients the pictures taken from their session at their ordering appointment, but we especially love showing clients the finished artwork when they come to pick up their order! Whether we are delivering finished museum quality canvases, framed prints with museum glass, or archival quality gift prints, our clients are always blown away when they hold their new art in their hands! Today was no exception with our vet client who came to pick up artwork from his cat + dog photo session. While Akitas and house cats might seem like a strange pair, these two are best friends and our client wanted to capture their bond to display in his home (since they are his fur kids, after all!). The cat rules the house while the dog guards the house. They are the perfect pair and enjoy taking naps together (as long as they don't think their human is watching).
Have you been thinking about having professional pet photos taken of your pets? Don't delay and contact Mark Stevens Photography about booking your custom session today! Mark is happy to work with all breeds and obedience levels of dogs and cats (and horses, too!).

TBT - The tinyiest puppy
Ally weighed barely 2 lbs, but she had a HUGE personality! This little girl was both extra sweet and feisty rolled into a tiny puppy. This is still one of our favorite outdoor puppy portraits of all time!

"MaxFund is a true no kill animal shelter and adoption center that challenges the traditional methods of animal sheltering by leading the no kill movement in Colorado. We strive to give animals, including the injured, abandoned, and abused, a "second chance at life."
No purchase is necessary following your photo shoot, but we hope you love your images so much that you will want to display them in your home! We will also donate 10% of any artwork purchased from your session.
Rescue Puppies - TBT
It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since we had these two tiny and fluffy foster puppies in our home! These puppies only stayed with us for a few weeks (until they were old enough to find their forever homes), but this pair left us with many fond memories. They were especially fond of helping Mark take pictures!
I highly encourage you to think about fostering a dog or cat if you like animals and have some love to share. We fostered through Life is Better Rescue, but I know that there are many other wonderful animal rescue groups in the Denver and surrounding areas (some are all breeds and some are breed-specific) who are in constant need of temporary fosters.
Many people say they could not foster because they would get attached to the dog or cat. We've had some amazing foster puppies over the years and it was very difficult to let them go to their new homes. But, we were able to give them a place to stay and love when they had nowhere else to go.
Studio Climate Control - Check!
If you ever visited Mark's old photography studio in downtown Denver, you may remember that it was a very cool, old building, but it had terrible climate control. This was very frustrating for us since we want each photo shoot to be a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Plus, it is important that we are able to keep the dogs who come to see us at a comfortable temperature, too, so that we can get the best pictures possible.
A proper climate control system was one of our top priorities when planning his new studio and it actually turned out to be more challenging that we anticipated. But, our new HVAC system was installed yesterday and we're looking forward to keeping all of our clients (furry and not so furry) comfortable all year round!
"You need professional pictures of your dog!"
Mark's had the privilege of photographing this lovely lady prior to fitness competitions in the past and he was thrilled when she contacted him about doing a photo shoot with her boxer, Dixie. After seeing the pictures from their session, she was overwhelmed. "Trust me when I say "get some professional pictures of your pets!" I'm sooo thankful for the work of Mark Stevens and his passion for dog photography!" These are pictures of her BFF that she will treasure forever.
If you've thought of having professional pictures taken of your pets in the past, don't put it off! Book your session with Mark now.
A Girl and Her Horse - TBT
There are few things as beautiful as girl with her horse on a gorgeous afternoon in Colorado. The wildflowers were blooming and the light was golden. This horse property in Parker was the perfect location for an outdoor photo shoot and all the conditions were simply perfect. It also helps when you have a stunning model! Mark photographed multiple horses and various family members during this family portrait session and they ended up with so many wonderful images! They loved their pictures so much that they chose to display 18 canvases as collage to cover an entire wall in their living room. Their artwork displayed this way is simply stunning and they get to enjoy their images every single day.
